I have been teaching at Harris for over 9 years and currently training as a Lead Practitioner Designate with a focus in SEN students. I am passionate about making a difference in student's academic life and do think that when students experience small wins, they are more willing to try and put effort in their learning. Within my department, I have reputation for building positive relationships and outcomes with students with SEND and behavioural needs. I have mentored new PGCE teachers, coached staff and continue to provide feedback to staff in weekly learning walks.

I have also privately tutored clients for a number of years in ranging levels of Maths including mostly KS3 and GCSE Maths.

Teaching style and philosophy

I believe teaching needs to be catered to the student in front of you so I can pitch high or scaffold down as needed. I believe in the journey and making learning an enriching and enjoyable experience rather than focusing heavily on the outcome.
