Background

Chiara is a recent graduate of Magdalen College, Oxford university where she graduated with a 2:1 BA Neuroscience and is also team GB foil fencer, having won bronze at the 2018 Commonwealth Championships and gold at the 2019 British team national championships. She is currently working on her own legal-tech startup to help make the law more accessible and legally empower individuals who may not have access to costly lawyers. Alongside this journey, Chiara has had the pleasure of tutoring almost full-time to support her financially, a job that is so rewarding and enjoyable that she can hardly describe it as a "job".

Tutoring Experience

Chiara has over 500 hours of private tutoring experience for a wide range of ages and in a huge number of subjects including maths, physics, chemistry, biology, statistics, English literature, English language, history, geography at GCSE, 11+, ISEB Pretest, 13+ scholarship (Eton, Winchester, Harrow), A-Level and BMAT etc. From helping a 4 year old ADHD boy with his phonics to tackling high-end A-Level physics with an 18 year old looking to sit the Physics Challenge, she has the breadth of experience necessary to provide these children with a holistic and all-encompassing education. Having tutored students from all corners of the globe (including the USA, China, Japan), Chiara has enjoyed the opportunity of exploring a wide range of cultures, learning styles, exam boards and national curriculums and is always excited for the next adventure.

Finally (and most importantly), she is a lot of fun! She adores interacting with children of all ages and they seem to especially appreciate her irreverence towards all things serious. Former students have described her as both a teacher and a friend and Chiara would be glad to provide references if required. One recent quote from a parent: "Chiara has a unique method of teaching for students of different levels. She always encourages and motivates my daughter to ignite passion in her studies and both challenges and supports her. She is an excellent teacher and we hope to continue with her for the coming years!" - Diana
