Teaching and tutoring experience
Dan is currently a Classics teacher at King’s College Wimbledon, having previously been a Classic Teacher and Deputy Housemaster at Uppingham School teaching students from Year 9 to Year 13. He also has a wealth of tutoring experience, working extensively with students from Year 6 to A-Level across a number of subjects. He specialises in Latin, Greek and English, and has successfully a number of students in their GCSEs and A-Levels in these subjects, all achieving top grades.
Dan started his tutoring career teaching a boy in preparation for entrance to Eton, whom he is now helping with his GCSE preparation. Dan has a wealth of 11+ and ISEB Pretest teaching experience, helping students preparing for entrance examinations to Harrow, Wellington, Marlborough and Eton. He has also prepared students for Radley entrance and has most recently taught GCSE Latin to a student at Wycombe Abbey whilst also preparing her for her interview for Westminster 6th form. Dan also has experience teaching Humanities, having taught GCSE Geography to a student at Marlborough, and A Level History and Geography to a student at Harrow.
Additional information
Dan is a keen actor, having performed in many amateur plays at school, university and beyond.
As former Head of Harrow School, he is also an experienced public speaker, which he finds very helpful when preparing students for interviews.
His other interests include: reading, films, guitar, cricket, rugby and basketball.
