Teaching style & philosophy:
My teaching style is one entirely geared towards the student. I believe adaptability in the classroom environment is one of the most important factors in tuition, as it allows me to cater my lessons specifically to what each students needs at that particular time. I enjoy using a range of resources for my students, so the lessons are dynamic and entertaining, whilst in equal measure, educational. My philosophy around teaching is simple. I aim to build confidence, provide room for both academic and personal growth and provide a safe space to make mistakes, knowing this is how one grows.
Additional information:
In my time at the King's School Canterbury, I was awarded the title of Head of House and was a recipient of one of two King's Scholarships.
At university, I am the academic officer for the Marine Conservation Society and have been an active member of Edinburgh Global Partnerships, a student led charity who aim to provide sustainable projects in developing countries. I was the project coordinator for one of these projects, that aimed to rebuild a school in Nepal devastated by the 2015 earthquake. I was responsible for a team of 8 people, fundraising £10,000 and coordinating the building on-site with the local community for 9 weeks. I am incredibly passionate about education, which is why I selected this project over others.
Additionally, I have been a member of The European Youth Parliament for many years, having debate and competed around Europe after ranking in the top 10 in Spain, where I grew up.
On a more personal note, I am a passionate dressage rider and enjoy nothing more than spending time around horses. I am also a keen cook and pianist.
