Teaching and tutoring experience

I have 5+ years of private tutoring experience and under my tuition, students climb 2+ grades and successfully meet their university offers. I have experience in both in-person and online tuition, using platforms such as Zoom, Skype and Google Meet. I have experience tutoring students with learning disabilities such as dyslexia and ADHD. I have

I also tutor international students for whom English is not their first language.

My speciality subjects include: History of Art, Politics, History, English Literature, English Language, Oxbridge entrance preparation and 11+ preparation in English and Verbal Reasoning.
My clients have not been school-based but instead range in setting and need. I have tutored home-schooled students, individuals who need extra support alongside full-time education, and international pupils studying for UK entrance exams. My students have ranged from short-term support for university entrance preparation to long-term (5 year) relationships.

Teaching style and philosophy

My distinctive tutoring approach cultivates academic rigour, critical thinking and creative problem solving. I equip my students with confidence, effective learning techniques and aim to cultivate a love for the subject. I enjoy working with students to generate powerful study tools and techniques which help students assuredly approach their subject and subsequent exams. My teaching approach includes spaced repetition to aid content memorisation and targeted essay planning and structure. I consistently reflect on my tutoring practice to effectively tailor learning experiences to each of my students.
