I was form teacher for English, History and Social Studies for children aged eight to 13 in a preparatory and middle school in New York, St. Bernard’s.

I tutor pupils for their school work, university applications, entrance exams and interviews, including the TSA, SATs and the GRE for undergraduates applying for graduate study.
Teaching style and philosophy
I have taught in an independent boys’ school in New York for a year; I currently tutor a small number of pupils in sixth form mainly on their applications to universities, with a focus on Ivy League (US) and Russell Group (UK) universities. Teaching the skills of coherent prose, forming an argument and critical thinking are particular specialisms.
